Hello New York! The War Junk book tour is heading south of the border for a conference on Disposal’s Past, Present, and Future at NYU. The conference program is available here and some big names in the field of discard studies are scheduled to appear.
I’ll be speaking about my research into military pollution, munitions disposal, and the environmental legacies of underwater munitions. Some of my findings were published in 2017 in the peer reviewed and open-access journal Canadian Military History.
