American Society for Environmental History, 25-29 March 2020

The book tour continues in Ottawa for the ASEH 2020! The conference schedule is available here. It’s jam-packed with so many great talks and scholars.

My talk is on a panel with three other presenters and we’re all focused on the theme of Canada’s Military-Industrial complex and the environment. You can check out the other presenters and abstracts here.

My talk is titled “Sweeping it Under the Rug: Decontamination and the Environmental Costs of Canada’s Munitions Industry” and examines some of my preliminary findings on my new book project on the health and environmental hazards of Canada’s Industrial Front during the Second World War.
